I know that probably few if any people will read this; I feel that I must pass it on. While in the U.S. I came to be in a position where I used to write letters for inmates in different jails/prisons. Many could not write very well or at all so I would fill out appeals and application forms for them. It was an eye opening event that makes our country look like the "shining city on the hill" compared with the inhumane conditions that millions have to endure day after day. I witnessed one prisoner have to have his leg amputated after guards would not give him medical attention for wounds on his leg. Infection set in and it went gangrenous. As this documentary says, medical attention is routinely withheld; I suppose that with a large part of the outside people not having access to medical help, due to having no insurance makes it easier to refuse to give it to a prisoner. Watch this show and believe me it is not lies or misrepresentation but I can testify it is the truth of the largest prison population on the planet. If you have trouble believing this then just remember back to Iraq and the prisoner abuse that was uncovered there, well the guards in the homeland do not have to worry about being found out and the same sort of things go on there every day to millions of humans, Just like you and me.
We have just passed another anniversary of this infamous day. I still remember it clearly, my buddy Mike rung me up and said "Jerry turn the TV on , dude we are going to war" . Well we all know a lot has happened since then, some of us are more aware than others what has ensued and this is a good video to get the idea of the Geo politics involved as there is never a simple explanation to the why of the event and the aftermath. Unfortunately the American people have lost a lot more than they originally thought from just the lives and buildings of this horrible day. I think that America changed this day and it hasn't gone back, living in Colorado at the time even I didn't realize the far reaching ramifications that it would have even on me. RT is a news network that still does investigative reporting and this is the product of that investigation. My condolences go out to the direct victims and their families of the attacks and to the families of the soldiers and civilians on both sides of the conflicts that this day has instigated. I also feel for the American people who have been hoodwinked by the corruption of the govt and have seen trillions of dollars wasted of war that no body needed when there are people with no housing or health care, decent schools and access to university without lifelong debt. |
